Dear folks --
Does anyone know a good place showing an investigation of html email support? It's easy to send it, it's harder to know how much of your audience will view it correctly.
What I've found so far is:
Outlook PC: best in the business. Displays like a webpage (makes sense, as it is embedding an IE object)
Outlook Mac: does not display tags, but only displays text colors from the html.
Outlook Express: seems pretty good on both mac and pc.
Hotmail: works pretty well for me, but alters the link format for links attached to graphics within the page. Seems related to its opening of links within a hotmail branded frameset.
Lotus Notes 4.5 (pc? not sure): I have been told that it can display html emails, but it also has been known to simply display the code.
Eudora (mac only tested): displays <IMG> tags, font colors, links, but ignores <TABLE> structures.
Any thoughts or repositories of info links would be appreciated.
