What is wrong with this forum?

I posted a request for help in the "Coding" section of the forum and someone actually replied. I find it surprising because I haven't been able to access the posting list (http://www.phpbuilder.com/forum/read.php3?num=2) in at least a week. I can see the listing in the "General" section, but not in the "Coding" section. Is everyone accessing it normally???

Yeah, I'm reluctant to complain about this site because I love it here but taking ten days to fix a small glitch is a little crazy. It's a PHP scripting problem and this is a PHP site. They certainly have the resources available. If they posted the source for the problematic pages on the home pages with a discussion thread underneath it, the problem would be solved in an hour tops.

Your reply means that either you can see the thread listing or you receive the entire forum section in your mail box, which I don't want to do because it is too much. All I can say is that I can see NOTHING. I just found this particular thread and got here because the notification messages come with a link. For the rest of the "Coding" section, I have absolutely no idea of what is going on!

Me too. Also if you post to one of the five threads listed in the main section, it takes you to the 'normal' listings following the confermation.

My workaround, I discovered to day, is use this link:

http://www.phpbuilder.com/forum/list.php3?num=2&action=-1&thread=173900

...where '173900' is way ahead of the latest thread.

Heck, it works.

But it is still appalling to see such a stupid flaw lingering about for so long...

Not too long ago, some people were posting loud protests against the ever dropping quality of the articles. I am a newbie, so I cannot judge that. But they now seem to be neglecting the forum structure too, and that really makes me think. Could the end of PHP Builder be drawing near?
