sql query help

I have two tables that can look like:

car_id
car_name

and

sells_id
sells_car_id
sells_buyer

and records like

car_id | car_name
1 | a
2 | b
3 | c

sells_id | sells_car_id | sells_buyer
1 | 1 | ..
2 | 2 | ..
3 | 1 | ..

What I need is a sql query that gives me the TOP 10 of the sells, that his, the top 10 CAR table rows that are more times in the SELLS_CAR_ID

How do I do such a thing ?

select sells_car_id, count(*)
from sells
group by sells_car_id
order by 2 desc limit 10

Why is that 'order by 2' ?
