The little form at
http://www.justgotweb.net/test/interest2.php
is just a small piece of the whole project I am working on. The little form allows us to see how the script is processing the input. The purpose of this piece of the form is to allow the end user to enter their interest rate on their mortgage.
In my notes in the file at
http://www.justgotweb.net/test/interest2.phps
I have included the types of normal and poorly entered data that real people put in this type of form entry.
My script needs to straighten all these entries out. Text entries, like "don't know" should deliver a text result. Numeric entries, no matter how irregular, need to yeild a standardized numeric result.
One problem with it the way it stands is line 29. That line does not pass the text through. Other errors can be seen by putting some of the poorly entered numeric entries listed in the notes into the little form, and view the results.
