New to PHP - Page generation

Hi everyone, I'm new to php and have been assigned a project for my job where I have to build an admin tool in a few days time for our hardware review site. This tool is supposed to enable my reviewers to go in and update News for the site. They need to be able to submit a Title, Summary, and Body content for the news story, and when they hit Submit the following needs to happen:
The Title and Summary display on the homepage which links to the story page (which needs to be generated by php), the Title alone needs to be displayed on the News page and also needs to be a link to the story page.

So far (with help from friends) I've managed to get it to the point where when I put the data into my form it displays on the homepage and news page correctly but is not a link as I dont know how to tell php to build the story page itself. Any tips or advice would be great!🙂 My boss doesn't like me studying php at work (even though this is a work project) and insists I do it in my personal time, and the deadline for this to be done is very close. I need all the help I can get!🙂 Thanks so much...

you need to supply the info to a database and reacall it onthe story page using the saved variables from the database (mySQL)...

this may help...you have 3 different pages. The first is the admin page. This is where the author enters the info...and submits it to a database. When you add the record to the DB, I assume that you have some unique value that diferentiates it from the other records...a primary key. Anyway...the primary key is how you make the sho_story page work. I am assuming that you are passing the DB a query to get the links to show. When you build these links add a variable to the link that designates WHICH record was clicked...for example, your href might look like:

show_story.html?id=123

Then, on the page show story, you do a query (select * from table where id=$id), and there is the proper record.
