HELP PLEASE? What equals *

You know how when you search for something on windows with the find command and you type *.txt and it means find everything with a .txt file extension, is there anything you can use like that in php. Because i wanna search for a string with like 3 diffrent words not in a row.. example:

dogcatpig

and in following lines of text it will do this:

The boy says hi and the fish swim \n <---Line1
The dog goes bark and the cat goes meow and the pig goes oink \n <---Line2 (finds this whole line)
The bird goes meep and the cow goes mooo <--Line3

I hope you understand its hard to explain...

Checkout preg_grep(). It searches an array for matches to a given regexp, and returns an array consisting of the array entries that matched.

You need to read up on Regular Expressions. There are a couple of ways to do what you want with the "preg_match" function, but the explanation is way beyond the scope of a forum answer.
