Freeware Debugger?

I'm wondering if there's any shareware that anyone knows about that i could use to parse my php scripts for errors before i load them onto my server. At the moment, i have to copy the scripts i write onto my test server and then look at them in a browser which is quite time consuming, anything which would speed up this process would be much appreciated.

Why don't you just install a webserver on your computer. I believe that pws or IIS is on your windows cd. (I'm assuming you are using Windows) After that just go to php.net and get the Windows binarys, and MySQL.com if you want MySQL

You could also just get a text editor that has FTP integrated into it. Go to download.com and get the latest version of EditPlus. With this editor, you can either open a file and work with it remotely or work with it locally and hit control-shift-s to upload it in one quick swoop. A huge time saver.
