Netscape and Text type on MySQL

I am running into the following problem:
-The contents of MySQL text fields won't display under Netscape 4 (only the first letter is displayed) but the same code works fine under MSIE.

What I find strange is that the code works fine under one browser and not the other. When I have a look at the netscape html source, the text IS missing as well.

Why do I get this bug under Netscape and not under MSIE?
