Simple regex help...

I'm trying to make a regex that will match a string that only has to satisfy one condition: somewhere in it is 1 or more alphanumberic characters ([a-zA-Z0-9]). Any ideas? The following is what I tried, but it doesn't work, the condition is never satisfied.

^{(.)([a-zA-Z0-9]+)(.)$}

That should work, but its too complicated:

"/[a-zA-Z0-9]/"
