Problem with string formating from form

Ok, here it goes...,

Basicly, what i have to do is put textarea on a page, and on the users click on the submit button, i call back the same web page so that the forms fields are now available in PHP... (post)...

I have textarea in the form, witch i have to keep the return carriage. but, once the text area goes into the PHP var., i just becomes a big chunk of text... is there a way to force carriage return in my text area or whatever?

Set the wrap attribute of the text area to hard. If you need to display it as HTML, use nl2br.
