Displaying query results in opp. order

In the [Latest News] column, I am extracting the news from a mysql database. How would I change it so that it displays the newest articles on top? Also, how would I fix it so that it will only show the latest 5 headlines?

In your SQL query, after your ORDER BY clause, say DESC, e.g.

ORDER BY post_date DESC
