retrieve value in checkbox

Hi, how can I retrieve the value in checkbox when I click the submit button?

you want to find out if a text box is checked or not ??

<input type='checkbox' name='mycheckbox'>
...

when its submitted (dont forget the form tag) $mycheckbox will return 1 or 0

I think your mistake may be using value rather than name field...
