Ftp problem

I'm failing again and again to upload a file from my win98 clint machine to linux(ftp) server machine by using ftp_put function. it is uploading from the servers one directory to another diretory. But how can i put file from my client machine(win98) to the server.
If any one can give me an example function for the destination directory "/store/ (in the linux m/c ftp server)" and the source is "c:\01.jpg (in win98 m/c client)".

If you don't have to FTP it, you can just HTTP post it to the server, it is much easier.
