Typing text over a transparent gif

Hi, Im trying to take some text from a file, and put it over a transparent image. When I try to get started, by using GF.. I get this error when you load any page:

"Unable to load dynamic library 'C:/PHP/extentions/php_gd.dll' - the specified procedure could not be found"

That appears in a windows warning box for me any time anyone trys to access any page. And Ive made sure that the file is in the right place, but it just doesnt work! Is there any other way I can do this?

I usually get this problem when the compiled version of the dll is not the same as the compiled version of the PHP exe.

I would suggest you get the latest version of both files and you should see the problem go away.

I forgot the latest version of the GD library does not support GIF's due to licensing conditions.

Go to http://php.weblogs.com and download the php installer. It is only version 4.04 but it does have compatable versions of the exe and dll and so should work

ah, after taking a look at weblogs.com it seems that the whole site changed or something. Do you know somewhere else that I can get a compatable version of gd and php together?
