is the HTTP_COOKIE_VARS available in the same script where i call the setcookie funct? it seems not... 🙁
No, it's not. Set the variable manually at the same time you set the cookie. It will be retrieved from the cookie next time the page is loaded.

Yea you can't access the cookies on the same page they are set. Just use a "Click here to continue" or something of that sort.
