HTTPS and FORMS

Halloooo peeps..
Im looking for a way to submit form data to a https website using a cronjob on a php script.. The only way I can imagine to emulate this is to use fsockopen (which doesnt do https) or cURL (which means recompiling the server) is there another way ?

Your help would be v. greatly appreciated..

Why do you need to recompile to use curl?? just run it as a command line program and use system() to run it.

something like

$sysrun="curl --url https://secure.website.com/page.php";
$sysrun.=" --location";
$sysrun.=" --name username:password";
etc.. etc..

system($sysrun);
