Is there any way to make the url shorter on the browser bar?

Like if i have:

http://whatever.com/index.php?a=1&b=2&c=3

to make it look

http://whatever.com/index.php

Is there a way to do it in PHP? Or JavaScript? Please help!!!!

Your FORM tag has an attribute called METHOD. Right now, it's either missing, or set to GET. Change it to POST.

You could use both :-) Here I give you ONE (you can do in many ways) solution in JavaScript:

var strURL = 'http://whatever.com/index.php?a=1&b=2&c=3';
var arrURL = strURL.split('?');

document.write(arrURL[0]);

</script>

I think i didn´t understand your qustion. You want the field in the browser to look different, yeeh? Then there is no way if you don´t want to reload the page. Maybe in VBScript if you are using IE. Then maybe you can alter the application.

so in the addres bar will be visible only the name of the frame or nothing if it's called index.htm/l
