A lil regexp

Hi, anyone here, that knows the best way to get all occurences of an underscore out of such a string: report_pdfdoc_settings_pdf.inc.php

I think preg_match must be the suitable function but I don't know how the regexp must look.

Could you add it to this:

preg_match ( %regexp%, "report_pdfdoc_settings_pdf.inc.php" , $matches_arr);

What do you want to do, count the number of underscores or replace them with something else?

look at substr_count() or str_replace()

No, I don't want to count or replace them! If so, I had clearly used str_replace() or substr_count().

I want to have all positions of any occurence, as I must extract a modul-name out of this filname and the module-name is just everything between the first and the last underscore.

In that case just use strchr() and strrchr() (no typo)
to find the positions of the first and the last underscore, and use substr() to get everything between them.
