how to telnet using mandrake 8.1
Are you trying to telnet with php or you just trying to telnet.
Assuming you just want to use telnet, try using "man telnet", or simply;
telnet [host name] [post number]
(post number is not necessary for standard telnet post - post 23)

I am just very new to linux. I am very familiar with 2000 pro & server. But I am sick of Microsoft products. I actually dont know how to do anything with linux to be honest. Yesterday I was attempting to telnet with another computer on my network but was not familiar with any commands. It told me i was connected but any thing i typed and hit enter wouls just return the line but do nothing. Also I dont know how to join a domain with Linux. I anyone could lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.. I am running Mandrake 8.1
