SMTP Email Pickup...

I was wondering if anyone knew of a short piece of code that could connect to a SMTP server, and get the email and the headers of the email.
I'm sure someone could give me a little bit of code, i've looked for it everywhere. I've smtp pickup systems but it is too complex to just take this code out of.

Chris,

SMTP is only for sending mail. For picking up mail you need to know what service the mail is availible. Most mail server support either pop3 or imap.

PHP does have functions to access these services.
