Chat rooms again

hey yall, I need a chat room script that appends messages rather than doing page refresh, do any of you know of such a thing. I cant install any special software on the server, cause it's hosted remotely, all I have is php/mysql/pearl/cgi, I would really appreciate any suggestions, but if you also know of a script taht can let me use my site's variables as well, i'd love ot see it

Try looking in the various Javascript forums/code archives. You're not going to find a beast like this written in PHP or PERL since server-sode languages need to resend new info to the browser (resulting in a page refresh). Best of luck!
