caching and text output.

i look up the php manual but find nothing maybe i just missed it but..
how do you make it so a page don't get cache and how do you make php output to a textfile? i want it to output to a file that doesn't exsist(new file)
can you do it with fopen??

Yes, but why don't you want it to cache? Are you saying that you want to write to a file on the server or on the client?

i don't want a page cached because the i want the page to upadte often so i don't want the browser to cache it so it is always up to date,

and i want to write to server side.

Try any or all of these headers to avoid caching. You can use the normal file system function fopen(), fwrite(), fclose() etc to write output to a file on the server.
