Upload a file with password validation.

Hello

I have a problem trying to upload a file to the server. I've to implement a page to able to upload pictures to a server. I've used several pages ,that i've found in internet, and it allways returns me the same mistake:

Unable to create './cat.gif': Permission denied on line 14

In line 14 there is the copy sentence

copy($userfile,$dir.$userfile_name);

I think it's because I don't specify the username neither the password anywhere, i don't know!

Could someone help me?

The user ID that the webserver is running as (usually "nobody") does not have authority to create files in the directory where you want to copy the pictures. Also, you can not specify a relative path like './' for your directory usin the copy() function. You must specify an absolute path to the directory, somethine like '/var/www/html/mysite/images/'.
