Hi, i am having a problem with some html output. When someone enters text into a textarea and then into mysql, it preserves formating. But then when i display it back, it looses the formating, like newlines, etc. How can i preserve this?

HTML has no method to display NEW LINES, so it must be converted to something the browser can read
I tried this but i just get some "<br /> <br />" where the newlines should be! Anyone know how to fix this, it's driving me crazy!
