Authentication to enter!!!

I need to get the user to authenticate themselves to enter bits of the site...

I have got the authentication to work, and get it to pop up again when the authentication is wrong..BUT, what I can't do is stop the user to enter to uthenticate the next time they visit the site, (- the browser has cached the username and password i believe.) This is not a problem if the browser has quit and restarted and they visit then..??)

How can I stop this from happening, or forcing re-authentication every time they get to the stage when a password is neccessary??

I guess you need a logout button! Look at something like session_unregister to kill the cached username/login
