display file name

hi

i have a problem with uploading.i am uploading a image file and also i am storing the file name to a database.while modifying field,all the fields displayed. But my file name is not displaying in my field.How can i display the the file name which i already uploaded.I want to do something like this.
<input type="file" name="filename" value="<?=$filename;?>">

So that i know the file name i have already uploaded.Please help me....

Its impossible. Considered a security hole, because you could just say c:\pathto\importantfile\user.db and have a auto for submit. Witch is bad.

Btw don’t use ; on the php var call.
Ex
<?=$filename;?>
to
<?=$filename?>
