Hello =)
This is my first post in this form, i'm so new in php (learning from a book and the manual & u guys ;-) )

i'm doing a VEREY simple news maneger (PHP\MySQL) for my fueture site, the reson why i didnt use one off the known news manegers on the net because i want my web site to be more secure, so every thing i do it not useing a web-portal or else.

every thing is going verey well, exept one smal problem, i dont know how to do the NEXT, PREVIOS thing. i know how to list 5 news or some thing, but i dont know how to let the script to list the next 5 !!

i'm sure some off you have a simple\small way to do it. so please help me :-)

that tut learn how to print a limit
i dont want a limit, i want to print first 5 news, when the user clicks on next it prints 5 - 10 news, then 10 - 15 news, you know like when you search for some thing then so many results is printed to you but there are more when u click on next...........

Pass a variable that keeps track of current location and increment it by five each time.

if you were passing the variable $curpos, then your code would be something like:

$select_st = "SELECT * FROM news LIMIT($curpos,5)";
<insert other SQL stuff here>
$nextpos=$curpos+5;
//and pass $nextpos as $curpos with the next button and also
$prevpos=$curpos-5
// and pass $prevpos as $curpos with the previous button.

Logic is easy, hard for me to explain. I'm slow, bear with me.
