Getting past dates?

Hello,

I am getting date in this date format.

IE: 2002-03-15

Is there and easy way to get the date for say yesterday and perhaps 2 days ago without writing a huge function to account for end of months, leap years, end of year, etc??

Provided you are using a mysql TIMESTAMP field for each news item:

$sql = "SELECT *
FROM home_news
WHERE date > NOW() - INTERVAL 4 DAY
