date in mysql to php format

Hi, me again..

I wonder of anybody can help show me how to convert mysql date to a php formatted one - maybe in the form of eg. Monday, 6 May 2002 and not in mysql format (2002-05-06)

All help greatly appreciated.

MySQL has a function, UNIX_TIMESTAMP. Use that to convert the MySQL date into a timestamp, and then use the timestamp in PHP.
