unlinking??

Hi, i am not sure how to use the unlink command....what is wrong with this??

if ($delete) {

$sql = "DELETE FROM general WHERE id=$id";
$result = mysql_query($sql);
unlink = "images/$image_name";

It is only passed the id, do i need to pas the image_name as well? and how? thanks for your help

Use
unlink("images/$image_name");
to delete the file.

Well, i got these two error messages any ideas??? its al running locally so its nothing to do with the chmod 777 thing is it?

Hi!

That error says you forgot to set $image_name! Set $image_name like
$image_name = "image$id";
or something else.
