PHP refresh

Is is possible to have a php page within <iframe> tags to be refreshed?
Such as:

<iframe src="somepage.php">
content to be refreshed
</iframe>

Of course I could just have the parent page containing the <iframe> refreshed, but I don't want to do that for bandwith and other reasons.
I tried putting the meta refresh in that "somepage.php" but it didn't work.

I also do not want to use javascript. I'm looking for a much broader compatibility worldwide.

Gary,

Lookup the header() function in the PHP Manual. It may fulfill your needs. BTW, if you're really concerned with "broader compatibility worldwide", drop those silly <iframes>. IE is the only browser that properly renders them (well, Opera might... I'm not sure 'bout that one).
