Cookies?????

Hi I'm having a problem when setting a cookie
I can't get past

$value = "red";
setcookie("bgcolor",$value,"time() + 3600");>
I get this message

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at c:\phpdev\www\phpdev4\slan\cookies.php:9) in c:\phpdev\www\phpdev4\slan\cookies.php on line 11

cookies are header information and have to be the first thing sent to the browser..

other header iformation like header(location🙂 information can mess things up too.

try setting the cookie as the first thing on the page.

also, while troubleshooting cookies.. remember to keep deleting all your cookies or it is impossible to debug.

if it's still a problem, post the code above where you are setting the cookie.

The problem here is that you are sending a header after the body has started.

Move your cookie header to a spot before you write any output in your scripts.
