can anybody help me???

Hello, yes its your worst nightmare a newbie who knows not how to install GD. Can anyone help me with this???? I promise i will use my new found knowledge to help others.

So i have php4.1.1, mysql, apache on Win NT 5.1 (XP) installed locally. I had thought that php4 came with GD but it would seem not, i have uncommented the extensions in php.ini, with no joy. At this point i have looked at what files i am supposed to have and have dwonloaded GD, zlib,jpeg6b and lpng, what the heck do i do with those now? I have looked all round the place for some easy to follow instructions, but found none. And u guessed it, i cannot compile in C......where to from here????

i take it you have put the modules into the right folders, and added these into the php.ini where appropriate? if not, then just copy another module lne, and replace it with the name of the module you'd like to include.

extension=extensions/php_gd.dll

needs to go in the "windows extensions" line of ur php.ini

btw - i think "???" puts people off a little and they're sometimes a little less likely to answer, as opposed to users who post with just one "?" at the end of a sentace!

Ah, all the folders are sitting in the root php folder, i am not sure what to do with them? instructions i have read arent that explicit.
