read file last lines, array,misc output

I am searching on my problem the last three days, please help!!

my data file looks like that:

1|title|email|desrip|blah||blah|morehere|||
2|title|email|desrip|blah||blah|morehere|||
3|title|email|desrip|blah||blah|morehere|||
4|title|email|desrip|blah||blah|morehere|||
5|title|email|desrip|blah||blah|morehere|||

The file has always more then 100 lines.
I would like to take the last 5 lines (more or less)
and take out data from the line split it here "|"
and display later on in a table the last entries of this file

Title, descrip, etc
loop last 5 lines

Please help me out on this one I got it writen in asp (if you need the workin asp script please tell) but I have not much clue to convert it into php.

I'll give you the pseudo code:
1. read the file into an array (check out www.php.net on the functions to use)
2. Get the last 5 lines of the file. (since its in an array this is pretty easy.)
for($i=(sizeof($array)-5);$i<sizeof($array);$i++) {
3. split the data: $arrayOfElements = explode("|",$array[$i]);
4. make the table for the data.
5. Voila. =)

I tried it like you say as well I maked research used split and explode bt it does not return nothing here is the code what gives me no error but does not return the cell values
