changing focus in php

Hello,

Desperately need help.

How can I set it up so that when the user enters information in a text box, when they move to the next (readonly) box, the system needs to execute a query to fill in the information. Kind of like an autofill. I asked someone before and they said it is a browser option. I could not find that option. Can anyone help??

thats a client side thing, i don't think PHP can help there.

Can I implement javascript to check for the change? Because the after that is deemed to be true, I need to run php stuff on the server side.

You can use a client-side Javascript to cause the page to refresh with the data they have filled into the first text-box, use the onchange property within the text box to launch a JS function...
