maxlength of <textarea>

I was wandering if anyone could tell me how to limit the no of charecters to say 50 in a textarea....

I know how to do this with a textbox.

I am pretty sure that you cant do that with <TEXTAREA>

Look into javascript to do something like that. Just write a function that either:
1. Checks the length of the textarea before submitting the form.

or

2. Checks the length every time the textarea is changed.

You need to consult a javascript forum/help page do accomplish this. Good luck! 🙂
