Shed light on a MySQL error mesage?

Hi folks,

I have MySQL table that logs users who visait a page on my site. The PHP script takes environmental variables and then inserts them into the table in the DB.

There is an autoincrementing primary key in the table. All has been working well on my local server but on the live version of the site after 127 vistors were successfully logged I started getting the following error message:

Duplicate entry '127' for key 1

I have checked the table and there is no duplicate row. I have deleted the row and the site shows to visotr 127 but then the error recurs after that?

Any ideas? All help appreciated!

Thanks for your help, the site suggested does go a long way to explaining this problem, or should I say stupid mistake!

I have no idea why this doesn't happen on the mirror site version on my local server though? Bizarre...
