Email deliver notification???

Does anyone know how to create email deliver notification using SMTP in PHP? I've tried to search for any resource in creating the deliver send notification to show that email has been delivered but still no solution.

Any idea on doing as per the said?

1. Open mail box using imap library
2. Check for new letters
3. For any new letter send notification using mail() function.
4. Close box

There is no such thing as 'email delivery notification'.

The only thing you can do is send along a special request in a header. If the mail program that received the email supports that feature, it will send back an email telling you the message was received.

Note, this is a cute feature, but not at all reliable. Not all mail clients support it, and many have it disabled.
