Hi,
I'm writing a simple search engine and when the user enters his\her query words I need to strip out all the stopwords such as 'is', 'the' etc.
I was wondering which is the fastest method as i have 74 stopwords to compare each word in the query with.
A) check the words against stop words in a mysql table, or is a db overkill?
OR
😎 check the words against an array of 74 stop words that i create everytime the user runs the search script.
Both will work but i dont know which is less demanding and quicker on ther server under a high load.
Thanks in advance
Kerry
