Page has Expired -- suggestions needed

I used to program with ASP, much prefer PHP now.

One thing different is that form-to-database posts, coupled with using the back button, result in a lot of "Page has Expired" notices.

I know this has something to do with how the headers are set, and I think the strategy is to prevent duplicate entires into a database, since the info in a form may be irrelevant after it's submitted.

Can anyone give me some general strategies for managing Page Expired notices? Using the "back" button on the browser is a way of life for most people.

try "get" instead of "post" in the html form command. <form method=get action=do.php>

Try setting the <META> with an expiry time on your page:

e.g.

Curious how touchy the browser is to this meta tag.

I can generate the following easily:

echo '<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="' . date('r', time()+3600) . '">';

however the 'r' parameter will indicate -0700 (for my time zone) vs. GMT.

I have tried it in the strict format using GMT at the end (and adjusted the date/time accordingly), but this is still not preventing the "page expired" notices. Is there any way to solve this?
