Redirection on a page

Whats the best way to have a link or button on your page if you want to go to another page? Ex. I just submitted something on a page it brings me to another page that says "Thank you". Now From this new page I want a link to go back or to go to a whole new page???

Maybe use the header() function to send a Location instruction. ... ?
