help: calling a variable (how)

i have to call a single variable from a file to another file. and this variable (with the same name) has been defined for other purposes in other files. so i need a code to call it from a specific file. the file where it will be called is the referrer file (if it will help). and the referrer file contains html codes, so using $HTTP_REFERER causes the total inclusion of the whole html file. which i do not desire.

What you're describing doesn't really seem to make sense.

If the variable's name wasn't taken, how would you do it then? Create a new variable with a different name, set it to the value of the variable you're trying to "call from the other file" and "call" that new one.
