Regular Expression Help

Is any body experienced with regular expressions?

I want to bulid an expression, starting with "Object" and ending with <eObject>. My string contains several "eObject" maches, but i wanna stop to the first occurrence.

I'd apreciate very much your help

Thank you. What about if there is new line inside the string

In this case you'll have to add the s modifier:
s (PCRE_DOTALL)
If this modifier is set, a dot metacharater in the pattern matches all characters, including newlines. Without it, newlines are excluded. This modifier is equivalent to Perl's /s modifier. A negative class such as [^a] always matches a newline character, independent of the setting of this modifier.
