How can I make browser to download image to user's computer (open "Save as..." dialog box) when user clicks on the link. I don't want image to be dispalyed, I want it to be downloaded only. Please Help.

Hi:

I had sometime the same problem... but finally you will see that it is a browser problem. The client must use the Save as... or Save image... options.

But perhaps you can sent a diferent file type with header()... See the article (in phpbuilder) about uploading image to a BD and wtach the header frunction use...

Here $file_name is the file name that automatically comes up with the save as box
$file_size should always be mentioned
Just dump the file imm. after this.

"application/save"? Never seen that one before ... I just use the generic catchall "application/octet-stream" myself.
