php question

ok ive got a kinda funny question ill tell you what im doing...i have an email system the email comes in and i want to make a script where it sorts the file depnding on some information...howwould i do this without having to have a browser go to this page is there another language i would have to use or can i use php to accomplish this? all help is appreciated..

a browser, somewhere has to got to a PHP page before it is run. If you want to do it in PHP you would have to automate a browser going the the script when an email is recieved.
