hyperlinks

i have a question i have input boxes for my db where i would put relevant info purtaining to a specific entry. i was wondering is there a code one can write in which that input box can recognize a web address when it sees one ?
for example ... i write a big statement and as soon as a www.blah.com type address shows up - it automatically creates a hyperlink to itself .... any ideas ? thanks for any help.

you would want to use regular expressions. search these sites for scripts on input processing - generally revolving around cleaning html out of text boxes but presumably not preventing you putting it in also. I haven't used them so can't recommend.
