Email to system administrating - how to

i am wondering whether some can help me out. i have a form where a customer can fill out their details and the like and then hit submit. i have those values entered into a database sweet enough, and that is working fine. i am usign the POST_VARS functions to post and get the cell names. There are no credit cards or vital information that needs SSL and so i just to email the system administrated when someone hits submit.

My question is that, how do i implement an email function that will automatically send an email with the person details, to the system admin person when someone uses that form

It is possible to use mail() function to send the details to the administrator.

$to = email address of the administrator;
$from = email address of the customer
$detail = contains the details;
$subject = holds the subject of the details

mail($to, $subject, $details, $from)
