Multiple File Uploads

Hello,

I'm trying to find a way to upload many files (between 30-500) at the same time without making the user click on 500 "Browse" buttons. I have seen it suggested that one can scan a client directory, count the files and loop through an array uploading one file/loop. How can this be done? Bonus: only one user so client platform is well defined (Win 98).

Any ideas at all would be great. Thank you in advance.

i saw a code on planet source code that looks like what you want it only does like 10 but oyu could like mod it and make it do a bunch but why?

I have a client who is a photographer. He does wedding shoots and often takes between 100-500 photos. He wants to put the photos on his site for his clients to browse and purchase.

My client owns and knows how to use FTP software but I'm thinking that I would like to provide him with a total solution if possible.

This way, I also have more control over directory and file names.

To scan the client's directory and stuff, you
'll need an .exe - you can't do it with HTML, JavaScript or PHP (well, unless the photographer has PHP installed, but that's not likely). So develop a .exe file that will scan directories and upload it thru whatever protocol you want (HTTP, FTP, etc)
