Is there a way to detect when a browser window is no longer the active window on the desktop? I have a timer going timing a learning session and need to stop the timer when the window is no longer active. Ideally the timer would start again when the window became active again. Any help would be appreciated.

You can do it with JavaScript, but this is not the right forum to ask about that.

Use refresh & insert some naughty cody that expires/redirects after xxy seconds & its doing an auto get with file.php?my_action=close_inactive
All browsers accept refresh
