how to connect php with oracle using IIS

When I use any oracle 8 function I get this message in my browser:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ora_logon() in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\oci.php on line 5

What should I do to make php define oracle and oci function?
plzzzzzzzzzz help 🙁.

I have Windows 2000 prof,IIS 5.0 and php4.

Recompile with oracle support.

No clue on how to do that on MS-platforms though.

Step by step things to check:

That your php.ini file has the correct path to the extensions directory. In my case : extension_dir = "C:\progra~1\php4\extensions" (am using Win98, hence the ~).
Your new php.ini has no ; in front of extensions=php_oci.dll8.dll and that notepad hasn't made the file into php.ini.txt
That php.ini is in c:<windows directory>
That the file php_oci8.dll exists in <path to php>\extensions. In my case this is c:\program files\php4\extensions\php_oci8.dll.
That IIS stop and restarted cleanly.

If all goes well, then if you run a php page with phpinfo() in it, you should see a section on Oci8.
